Message from the Undergraduate Coordinators
Welcome to LMP and the Arts & Science Specialist Program in Pathobiology!
Since its inception in 2001, more than 400 students have graduated from the program.
Our alumni have gone on to pursue graduate studies and professional degrees such as medicine and law. Today, our alumni pursue careers in academia, governmental agencies, education, and the continually growing biomedical, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries, amongst others.
While this program is considered one of the most select undergraduate specialist programs at the University of Toronto, we continually encourage applications from students with diverse experiences and backgrounds.
This exceptional program provides our students with a strong base in the basic mechanisms of pathobiology while also demonstrating how they impact human health and disease.
Our program also provides students with various opportunities to work under the supervision of world-renowned researchers to conduct state-of-the-art research at the Medical Sciences Building, the MaRS Centre, and our various affiliated hospitals and their research institutes, including:
- Toronto General Hospital
- Princess Margaret Cancer Centre
- Mount Sinai Hospital
- Hospital for Sick Children
- St. Michael’s Hospital
- Toronto Western Hospital
- Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
We are always happy to support our current, prospective, and former students. Should you have any questions about our Specialist Program in Pathobiology, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to hear from you and are here to help!
