The Applied Organoid Core: Generation and Applications of Neural Organoids Workshop
Presented by the Applied Organoid Core (ApOC) at the University of Toronto.
This workshop aims to provide knowledge dissemination of principles and best practices that will guide workshop applicants in their research pursuits to unravel complex biological questions using organoid-based systems as tools.
Participants will engage in an intensive and comprehensive four-day session that combines lectures from experts on the broad applications of organoids in discovery research with hands-on experience in the maintenance and propagation of hPSCs in culture, and the generation of neural organoids from stem cells.
This workshop will consist of:
-
Talks from Subject Matter Experts integrated with trainee talks encompassing the latest insights from organoid-based research applications
-
2 days of Instructor-led sessions to guide participants in learning how to generate neural organoids from pluripotent stem cells (max capacity, 25 attendees)
-
1-day Instructor led session on scRNA seq analysis of organoid-derived data (max capacity, 30 attendees)
-
Demonstrations of confocal imaging of organoids
See the conference page for full details.
