Head & Neck Pathology community of interest meeting: April 2024
On behalf of The Office of Continuous Professional Development at the Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathobiology, University of Toronto, we invite you to join us for The Community of Interest Head & Neck Pathology meeting.
All Pathologists, Pathology Fellows, and clinical scientists with an interest in Head & Neck Pathology are invited and welcome!
The goal is to create a forum where both academic and community pathologists share interesting cases and knowledge in a friendly, informal, and collegial manner.

Goals
- Share knowledge in Head & Neck (HNP) and Oral Pathology (OP) via an evidence-based approach;
- Discuss diagnostically challenging cases to improve quality and patient safety;
- Provide a platform for pathologists and clinical scientists to collaborate on research projects in HNP and OP;
- Build a shared HNP/OP teaching archive via digital pathology.
Cases for presentation
Please bring interesting and/or diagnostically challenging cases (deidentified) for discussion. PowerPoint slides are encouraged for shared archive. Each case presentation should be 5-10 minutes long (template). Please indicate how many cases you plan to bring. Case numbers will be assigned at the meeting.

Please indicate in the registration form whether you will bring an interesting and/or diagnostically challenging case for discussion. We encourage you to prepare a PowerPoint presentation (a template is available).
How to join
This event is free for all pathologists and pathology fellows. The COI meeting is a recurrent event and will take place on Zoom (virtual).

CPD points
This event is an Accredited Group Learning Activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and approved by Continuing Professional Development, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.
You may claim up to a maximum 2.0 hours.
Recording and presentation archive
Invited lectures will be recorded and posted on the CPD website. Recording of case presentation is optional. We will reserve time toward the end of the meeting for closed-door presentations.
The Planning Committee is building a case archive for the COI – Head and Neck Pathology. We encourage the presenters to share their PowerPoint slides with the Committee (drlingxin.zhang@utoronto.ca), which will be archived and made available to active attendees at a later time.
