Ali Sakhdari
MD, MSc
Dr Sakhdari received his medical degree from Mashhad University of Medical Sciences.
His post graduation studies included a master degree in Immunology from the University of Toronto, Anatomical and Clinical pathology specialties from the University of Massachusetts and Hematopathology subspecialty from MD Anderson Cancer Center/ University of Texas.
He is certified in Anatomical, Clinical and Hematological pathology from the American Board of Pathology.
He is currently working as an assistant professor at the University Health Network as a hematopathologist.
Research Synopsis
My main interest is lymphoma. I am currently involved in several research projects related to follicular lymphoma and diffuse large B cell lymphoma.
The major focus of follicular lymphoma studies is on biological and molecular predictors of transformation of low-grade lymphomas to high-grade neoplasms.
In the diffuse large B cell lymphoma field, the main emphasis is on finding new prognostic and predictive factors beyond the cell of origin classification.
